About this guide

Editorial Standards

How we research, source, fact-check, and update content on en.fbla.org.cn. Our commitment to readers — students, parents, and chapter advisors who rely on this site for decisions.

Independence

en.fbla.org.cn is an independent editorial guide. It is not affiliated with FBLA-PBL, Inc. The site is maintained by an independent editorial team specializing in international student competition guidance. We have no financial relationship with FBLA-PBL, its sponsors, or its state associations.

Sourcing

Every factual claim about FBLA — including founding history, divisional structure, competitive event formats, NLC venues, eligibility criteria, and historical China-track placements — is cross-checked against primary sources:

  • fbla.org — official FBLA-PBL organizational and event pages
  • connect.fbla.org — official member resources and competition guidelines
  • U.S. Department of Education CTSO registries — confirming FBLA’s federally recognized CTSO status
  • Annual FBLA-PBL Competitive Events Guidelines — for event format, rubric, time, and rules detail
  • Conference recap documents and attendance reports — for participation and venue data

Review cadence

Date-sensitive information is reviewed at least once per program year. When official FBLA policy changes — as occurred with the suspension of the China regional track in 2024 — affected pages are updated within the same program year. Every published article and landing page carries a “Last reviewed” date in its footer.

Corrections

If you spot an error, please contact our editors via the Contact page. We acknowledge correction requests within 1 business day and update affected pages within 5 business days. Substantive corrections are noted with a “Corrected” badge on the affected article.

What we don’t claim

  • We do not represent FBLA-PBL, Inc.
  • We are not the authoritative source for FBLA eligibility, deadlines, or competition rules. For binding decisions, see fbla.org.
  • Cost estimates, attendance figures, and other quantitative ranges are typical values based on multi-year FBLA reports — exact figures vary year to year.

Why this matters

International student families and chapter advisors make significant time and financial commitments based on competition coverage. We hold ourselves to a higher editorial standard than the average activity guide — because the decisions our readers make based on this site matter.
